Have you ever struggled in deciding what to do with your life? Because this is exactly where our story begins. Before Elliot for Water was even a remote thought in my head, I found myself in this strange situation where I was standing there without really knowing which path to take.
What helped me take the right direction here was a book by Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist. The book, through the story of a Spanish shepherd named Santiago, shows how the Universe helps those who are willing to go after their mission on the earth by giving them signs, which in my experience often look like ‘coincidences’, and putting them through challenges.
Thanks to this book I started to really pay attention, listen to my instinct and create a deeper connection with myself. This is where Elliot for Water came from, I understood that no matter what I would have done in life, it should have had an impact on the world. I wanted my work to be meaningful, to represent something. I wanted to create a company that will be still helping people 100 years from now.
This new approach has then started a circle of reactions, consequences, and coincidences that brought me to places I could have never imagined. The funny aspect, though, is that when I look back at all the things that happened to me I see how every little detail, good or bad, was there at the perfect time, in the perfect place, and for the perfect reason.
This is what Elliot for Water’s story is about: following our own mission and path and, by doing so, make the world a better place.
